How to take care of my new cockatiel

To properly care for a cockatiel, provide a spacious cage with diverse perches, offer a balanced diet of pellets, seeds, and fresh foods, and ensure daily social interaction and mental stimulation. Regular cleaning of the cage and dishes is essential, along with nail and wing trims as needed. Cockatiels also benefit from a safe environment, free from hazards like Teflon cookware and toxic fumes. Here's a more detailed look at cockatiel care:Habitat:

Cage:Choose a cage with horizontal bars to allow for climbing, and ensure it's large enough for the bird to comfortably fly around. The bars should not be spaced too far apart to prevent the bird from getting its head stuck.
Location:Avoid placing the cage in drafty areas, direct sunlight, or humid conditions.
Furnishings:Provide perches of varying sizes and textures to exercise the bird's feet. Include toys like swings, shredding toys, and foraging toys, and rotate them to prevent boredom. Avoid mirrors, as they can lead to behavioral issues.
Cleaning:Clean the cage daily, removing soiled material and replacing food and water. Thoroughly clean the cage and accessories weekly with a bird-safe cleaner.

Do your birds have leg bands

Yes. Our birds come with closed leg bands. This is to help you and us. The band has a birth year, breeder i.d. and bird i.d.

Can i choose a boy or girl

Our babies aren't sexed. The only way to know a birds sex for sure is by DNA testing. We can test the bird for you for a small fee.
